On the stability of splitting schemes and approximate factorization for solving systems of multivariate equations

The analysis of properties of the implicit difference schemes for numerical solution of Euler and Navier---Stokes equations for incompressible fluid is carried out. It is shown that difference schemes of approximate factorization with splitting based on spatial variables already lose properties of unconditional stability in the two-dimensional case.
