Analytical and numerical investigation of a nonlinear filtration boundary-value problem with degeneration

A nonlinear filtration for diffusion or heat conduction in the formulation of boundary-value problem for a parabolic PDE with degeneration is studied. For power dependence of the density of the filtration coefficient, local analytic solutions are constructed. These solutions have the form of power series. Thus results by A.F. Sidorov and his colleagues are further developed. Numerical calculations are performed using both the truncated power series and the proposed difference scheme.
