Evolution of templates for synthesis of scientific algorithms
This work describes a new approach for the synthesis of algorithms based on given templates and a set of input-output pairs using evolutionary computation. The presented algorithm of evolutionary synthesis integrates the advantages of the genetic algorithms and genetic programming and was applied for automatical rediscovery and discovery of several computational, combinatorial and graph algorithms.
