Analysis of finite element and finite difference approximations for the numerical modelling of fluid flows

The paper is devoted to the numerical modelling of two- and three-dimensional incompressible fluid flows. Finite element methods (the Uzawa algorithm, a mixed finite element method, a stabilized finite element method) and the finite difference method are employed for the numerical modelling of fluid flows. The results of some numerical experiments demonstrating numerical convergence are presented.
